WordPress vs Drupal: A two bit different systems
WordPress vs Drupal is not hard to decide if you know what your site will need in terms od content, flexibility, power, security, and so on so it sould not be called “WordPress vs Drupal” but rather when should you use one over the other.
WordPress – Best choice for beginners because of it’s ease-of-use, it works especially well for small to medium sized websites, blogs and smaller e-commerce stores.
Drupal – The most difficult, but also the most powerful. It requires a familiar understanding of HTML, CSS and PHP.

WordPress is the world’s most popular content management system powering over 60 million websites today.
Here are some advantages of WordPress:

Drupal
Drupal is the second most popular content management system available today, used by sites both large and small.
Here are some Drupal characteristics:
- Technically Advanced – Drupal is the more technically advanced content management systems (even more than Joomla).
- Improved Performance – Drupal pages typically load more quickly, and have faster response times than those made with WordPress.
- Customizable – Drupal is easy to customize with many available plug-ins (called modules), themes and other configurable options to choose from (pre-configured distributions).
- Free – You can download Drupal software for free, and install it on your own hosting server or local computer for development purposes (local server: WAMP, XAMPP, LAMP).
- Drupal developers are less easy to get ahold of than WordPress developers and can therefore charge a lot more.
- Content Types: Drupal supports multiple site stakeholders (admin, editors, logged in users requiring customized content, private groups, etc).
- Numerous government websites are built with Drupal.
Below are listed (local PC) development servers:
WAMPSERVER is a Windows web development environment.
WampServer is a Windows web development environment. It allows you to create web applications with Apache2, PHP and a MySQL database. Alongside, PhpMyAdmin allows you to manage easily your databases.
What is XAMPP?
XAMPP is the most popular PHP development environment.
XAMPP is a completely free, easy to install Apache distribution containing MariaDB, PHP, and Perl. The XAMPP open source package has been set up to be incredibly easy to install and to use.
LAMP Installers
Bitnami native installers automate the setup of a Bitnami application stack on Linux. Each installer includes all of the software necessary to run out of the box (the stack). The process is simple; just download, click next-next-next and you are done! Bitnami stacks are completely self contained and will not interfere with other software on your system.

Conclusion on WordPress vs Drupal
Drupal comes with many more built-in features than WordPress. However, WordPress beats them with its ease of use, huge global community, plugins and themes. We feel that most non-developer users would find it much easier to build with WordPress than Drupal.
